Apple Crumble - individual molds

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the crumble and rub together for about 30 to 60 seconds or until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Do not over mix the crumble as it becomes gooey and chewy. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon & nutmeg.
  4. Pour the apple filling mixture into a baking tin/mould and pat down (can be pre-cooked if necessary).
  5. Spread the mixture evenly, then add a layer of crumble on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the mixture is nicely caramelized and crumble turns golden brown.
