De-grit the clams (if required) by soaking the clams into water with some salt and let sit for about 15mins or longer then drain the clams of water.
Prepare by slicing garlic and heating up a pan with a lid till hot.
Add Oil and saute garlic until aromatic. Add in butter, soy, mirin and the clams and cover the pan and let steam through until all the clams are cooked.
Serve with garnish of lemon and spring onions.
NOTES FOR TRISH:
Could be less than 1kg of Clams depending on what your packagin size. So roughly from 700gm to 1kg will do.
