Basic Pizza Dough

Method

  1. Dissolve the sugar in the water with instant yeast and let it sit for about 10 - 15 minutes until the yeast activates.
  2. Salt your flour, and slowly combine the “yeast solution” into your flour and knead it until smooth and elastic.
  3. Oil a large mixing bowl, and place your dough and wrap with cling film with a few holes for it to 'breathe' also making sure there is space in the bowl for the dough to rise.
  4. Proof the dough by leaving it in a warm, moist place. Wait for about 20-45minutes or until the dought doubles in size.
  5. When complete, take it out, knock it down and dust a clean surface to divide it into your pizzas. Roll your pizza base.
  6. Let it reproof slightly for about 15 minutes , knock it down and put your toppings.
  7. Dough is ready to be cooked.
