Mee Goreng

Serves about 4 · from D'Open Kitchen

Method

  1. Break up and blanch the noodles in boiling water for a minute or two and let it dry up and cool down.
  2. Premix the sauce, so its easier to throw in later.
  3. In a hot wok, add oil, crack in the eggs and scramble, then add the noodles, cabbage and bean sprouts and continue to cook.
  4. Add the prawns then sauces and saute until cooked.
  5. To finish, add a dash of water to deglaze the wok then add spring onions and shallots before serving.
  6. Notes for Trish:
  7. For the prawns you can replace with soda frozen prawns which is already peeled and smaller in size = cheaper too.
