Steamed Nonya Otah

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients for the spice paste and half of the fish until fine.
  2. Chop the other half of the fish into small dices, set aside.
  3. Add in all the other ingredients to the spice paste in this order: coconut milk, egg, seasoning, lime and turmeric leaves and mix well.
  4. Finally add in the sliced fish.
  5. Wrap the mixture in a banana leaf and steam for about 10 minutes or until cooked.
  6. Please note:
  7. Cooking time depends on size of otah!
  8. **Can also use any other fish that is firm and not watery!
