Authentic Spicy Chicken Bulgogi (닭불고기)

Method

  1. Prepare the Chicken
  2. Slice chicken into thin, bite-sized pieces.
  3. Set aside in a bowl.
  4. Make the Marinade
  5. In a separate bowl, mix all marinade ingredients until smooth.
  6. Marinate the Chicken
  7. Pour marinade over the chicken and mix well.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 12 hours for best flavor).
  9. Cook the Chicken
  10. Option 1 – Pan-fry: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and sweat and add marinated chicken and stir-fry until fully cooked and slightly caramelized (~8–10 min).
  11. Serve
  12. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions.
  13. Serve with rice, lettuce wraps, or as part of a Korean meal set.
