Sukiyaki (Kanto Style)

Method

  1. Prepare all the ingredients:
  2. Blanch udon/shirataki noodles in required.
  3. Slice the cabbage, leek, spring onions, enoki, shiitake, tofu & carrot.
  4. Premix the sukiyaki sauce.
  5. In a hot pot; heat up the oil and saute the beef with brown sugar quickly until the meat has gain sufficient colour.
  6. Add in the dashi stock to arrest the saute into a simmer; then slowly add your prepared ingredients with 1/2 sukiyaki sauce mix and let it simmer until cooked.
  7. Adjust the sauce if you wish it sweeter to add in more sukiyaki sauce.
  8. Crack an egg in the middle before serving.
  9. notes for trish:
  10. Equivalent to shirataki noodles can be the korean bean noodles OR plain bee hoon
